Alfred has been investing and managing portfolios in global equity markets for over 14 years. He began working with Portland House Group in London for close to 13 years, where he co-managed a concentrated, quality-focused portfolio.
 
Prior to his investing career, he held roles in strategy consulting,  corporate finance and institutional banking spanning a decade.
 
On returning to Australia, he was a senior global equities analyst for JBWere, responsible for coverage of global technology and consumer companies.
 
Alfred holds a Master of Commerce from the University of NSW and a Bachelor  of Economics from the University of Sydney. He has been a CFA charterholder  since 2001.
 
In addition to his love of investing and investment thinking, which soaks up  much of spare reading time, he also has a deep interest in technology. Alfred likes to relax by doing CrossFit and hot yoga, and has recently picked up surfing. And (for his sins) he is also an avid Arsenal fan.‍
